Each year on the Monday before Christmas, churches in Big Sandy join together to celebrate the birth of Jesus. Music and scripture highlight each brief gathering and the time friends spend together, moving from church to church, combine to make this evening so special.
The walk began at Davis Ranch, home to Sit’em Down Cowboy Church, then to continued Mt. Sinai, Gospel Lighthouse, New Beginnings Christian Fellowship, First Christian Church, and finished with a reception at First United Methodist Church. Each congregation offered the message of God’s love for us and the birth of His Most Holy Son.
LUKE 2:10-11, 13-14 (King James Version):
And the angel said unto them Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.
The churches of the Big Sandy Ministerial Alliance wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! God’s blessings on one and all!
