The 4×400 Relay from Big Sandy High School advanced to the State Track at the Springtown Regional Track meet on April 29. The relay team, standing on the second-place block of the podium, finished behind Lindsay HS. Seth Burk (#4 on hip) anchors the relay. Standing next to Seth is second leg Tyler Wolf, and behind them is first leg Nic Kilburn and third leg Jacob Shipman.  The team is coached by Derrick Floyd. Gun is up for the State championship mile relay race at 3:15pm on May 13 in Austin. Visit http://www.nfhsnetwork.com/associations/uil for broadcast information to watch the race.

In addition to this relay, two students made the Regionals medals stand but did not advance to State: Nic Kilburn placed third in pole vault, and Erick McFall placed third in Shot Put.
