The Big Sandy Music Hall

The Big Sandy Music Hall has lined up some amazing concerts starting June 24th with dates into November. The historic Baptist church building that is now the Big Sandy Music Hall aims to bring people together by hosting word-class music in a comfortable environment that’s close to home!

Advance tickets for all shows are available for purchase on bigsandymusichall.com. Tickets for most shows are also available for purchase at the business office Tuesday – Friday from 10 am – 4 pm, and at the door before showtime, unless sold out.

Upcoming shows include:

June 24th at 7 pm is ADLER & HEARNE, a spirited blend of original ‘Texas Folk,’ with Jazz and Blues overtones. Purchase Advance ticket to this concert for only $15.00 or Reserved Seating for $20.00 online, at the business office or at the door.

June 25th at 7 pm, Artist Scott Walker performs with the Axbergs after recording his new album of original music at a remote location in the West Texas desert earlier in June. Purchase Tickets for only $15.00 online, at the business office or at the door.

June 30th at 7 pm, Singer/Songwriter Keith A. Rea brings a wealth of experience to the stage as well as a variety of styles and genres. From love songs to train songs, Keith’s lyrics conjure stories of people, places, and situations that feel both familiar and yet somehow fresh. His instrumental styling’s cover the landscape from finger picked ballads to raucous twelve bar blues. July 8th at 7:30 pm, It’s ALL ABOARD RAFAEL’S ROCKABILLY RAILROAD!!! East Texas, get ready for Rafael’s Rockabilly Railroad! The Train pulls into Big Sandy Music Hall on Friday, July 8th at 7:30 pm! This will be a fun musical variety show that the entire family can enjoy! Special Guests will include Shea Birdwell, Blake Schneider, Gib Maynard, Emmylou Espinoza & Curtis Lane with Train Conductor Rafael Espinoza driving the line! TICKETS ARE ON SALE NOW…Advance Tickets are $20 and only $10 for students 18 & Under! All Tickets At The Door will be $25!

July 9th at 7 pm Kevin Galloway performs. This will be a last chance to see Kevin solo for quite a while, so get your tickets ASAP! This show will be a great, intimate night filled with beautiful music and great stories: Uncle Lucius songs, songs of Kevin’s he doesn’t do with the band and some of his favorite covers will be shared along with the stories behind them, Don’t miss this special event! July 14th at 7 pm, Singer/Songwriter Austin Layne performs. Austin Layne spent much of his life in Grand Saline, TX – which is where he claims as his hometown. Austin Layne graduated from Robert E Lee High School (Tyler, TX) in 2009. Austin then went to work in the oilfield for 6 years. During that time, he learned to play the guitar and began songwriting. In March 2014, Austin Layne played his first professional gig at The Forge in Ben Wheeler, TX and by March 2015, Austin decided to leave the oilfield to pursue his six string dream. Tickets are only $5 and may be purchased in advance online or at the door.

July 21 at 7 pm, Joining The Kirbys for the Singer Songwriter Show in July, back by popular demand, Kevin Kerby!  Kevin Kerby, first appeared along with The Kirby’s back in writes songs. Purchase tickets for this event for only $5.00 each online or at the door.

July 22 at 7 pm, The Dallahatchie Boys rock The Hall. A combination of Modern Rock, Texas Country, a touch of Folk, and Southern Rock. July 23 at 7 pm is The Stratoblasters, The Music of Bugs Henderson, Texas Swing, Classic Rock and More… This show is the rain check from the Friday June 17th show that had to be rescheduled due to AC outage – The Hall will be cool, but the MUSIC will be HOT! The Stratoblasters performed recently at the T-Bone Walker Blues Festival in Longview. Purchase Tickets to this show for only $20.00 online, at the business office or at the door.

August 11 at 7 pm, Singer Songwriter Showcase features – 2014 and 2015 East Texas Female Guitarist of the Year, Ally Venable. vocalists and guitarist, Ally Venable, starting singing at an early age in church and then in recent years picked up the guitar and found her passion. Being a protégé of Lance Lopez and through Ally’s songwriting and onstage performance, this female packs a punch. Tickets are only $5.00 for this show. August 18 at 7 pm is Singer/Songwriter Loretta Callens. Loretta began her journey through music at an early age. She credits her parents with fostering a love of music which shows in each performance. Music critic, Tom Geddie of Buddy Magazine stated “Callens can sing” in his review of her first album, “Strayz”. In Loretta’s early musical days she performed in folk duet Firelight, Pine Hill Bluegrass and two east Texas southern rock bands. Tickets are only $5.00 for this show. August 19 at 7 pm The Hall welcomes Feen Boyett –  New World Music with a twang!  Brady Mosher & Friends are back by popular demand! Feen Boyett is an instrumental group that is the result of Brady Mosher’s love of the rhythms and sounds of Mexico, South America and the Caribbean as well as his native North American R&B, Jazz, and Country music. This “New World Music” embraces a wide variety of stylistic ideas and improvisational elements with melodies and harmonies voiced primarily on Brady’s acoustic and electric guitars.Additional color is provided by steel guitar( Mitchell Smithey), and harp! (Cindy Horstman) Rhythms are propelled by the supple grooves of Mike Medina of 2tone on drums and his daughter Emily Jane on percussion with Rich Stanmyre on bass. Ignoring category lines and communicating on a soul-u-lar level to a diversity of listeners is what Feen Boyett is all about.

September 1, at 7 pm The Backroad Band East Texas Bluegrass performs. This show is the rain check from the Saturday June 18th show that had to be rescheduled due to AC outage – The Hall will be cool, but the MUSIC will be HOT!
