The Big Sandy High School Fine Arts Department will be presenting Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast Jr.” The cast and crew are busy rehearsing and building castle sets.  The beast will meet beauty as they sing and dance to a beautiful musical score.  The musical will satisfy all ages and the audience may want to break out singing with their favorite tunes.

Beauty and the Beast will be directed by Tim Bearden.  This project was made possible by the support of our superintendent Jay Ratcliff and his administration. Here is a list of the students and teachers involved in the production.  The Beast will be portrayed by John Verzyl and the Beauty, played by Emma Eckeberger. The choreography is conducted by Taylor Plaisance.  Don’t worry, Chip and Gaston will be in the show too.

The rest of the cast: Adam Gage, Gabriel Mathis, Decorian Menefee, Mae Deweese, Katie Parker, Chloe Church, Alyssa McGregor, Sarinna Carpenter, Alexis Budynkiewicz, Ty Stephenson, Jordan Robertson, Addy Akin, Makenli Millwood, Alexandrea Teubner, Shelby Shear, Ashton Beason, Kristin Mosely, NeAjaha Johnson, Lorin Drennan, Macie Duhon and Rory Caffey.  Crew members are Eli Renfroe, Madie Ratcliff, Luke Ratcliff, Seth Stuck and Waylon Burkett.

The show will be presented to the school on Wednesday November 7th at 1:00PM and presented for the community Saturday, November 10th at 6:30PM.  Tickets can be purchased at the auditorium door. Admission: Adults $5.00 – Children 6 and up $3.00.
