Randy Martin: Artist/Metal Sculpture set to exhibit at the Van Go Art Show in Van

The Van Go Art Fair is the third art festival to complete the Van Zandt Arts and Cultural District Main Event Triad

Van Texas, January 2019 The small East Texas town of Van, located just off Interstate 20 is the perfect location for the Van Go Art Fair. Van is one of three small Texas towns that comprise the Van Independent School district. The other two towns are Ben Wheeler and Edom. Each small town has unique attributes that make them an annual destination for the patrons of the arts. Together all three towns combined make for one dynamic tourist objective with in our great state.

With this objective in mind, a small contingent of local citizens of business professionals, artists and teachers, representing each small town came together to form the Van Zandt Arts and Cultural District Foundation. The mission of this organization is to enhance and promote the value of the district’s creative and economic life by engaging artistic, cultural, educational, and commercial neighbors through programs, events, and initiatives. The newest of these events is the Van Go Art Fair the foundation is producing in partnership with the city of Van.

The Van Go Art Fair is set for the last Saturday in March which so happens to be Vincent van Gogh’s 166th birthday. What better way to celebrate than to have an arts festival in his honor? Be sure to mark your calendars for Saturday March 30th 10 AM to 5PM at the Van City Park.

Come prepared to wow your senses with all types of artistic endeavors. Artists include painters, potters, metal works and jewelers to name a few. Live demonstrations of artistic crafts include strolling theatrics from the local theater troops. Performing singer songwriters will entertain throughout the day. Local food trucks, wineries and gourmet chocolates and more will round out a perfect day.
