Two very talented musicians from different ages showcase their original music at the May 19 Signer/Songwriter show at the Big Sandy Music Hall. The show starts at 7 pm, doors open at 6:30 pm. Admission is only $5.00, an incredible value for a family-friendly, live concert of original music.
Molli Forrestier is a local singer/songwriter who has been recognized beyond her years for her musical talents and performances. She is a local favorite with a great sound that has played many shows as a solo artist and as part of different groups.
Larry Seibert is originally from San Angelo, but now lives near Hawkins. Larry played with Dan and Tom Peek in America, The Mystics, the Diana Ross “Supremes” tour band, The Ted Weems Orchestra, Les Elgart Band, Stan Kenton and the UNT 3 o’Clock Lab Band. Larry is a visual artist as well as a musician and his studio, Art Formz located on Hwy 80 in Hawkins, features many of his unique pieces of found-object art.
The singer songwriter showcase is an opportunity for artists to connect with music fans who appreciate their art and are willing to pay for and listen to original music. “We hope to continue to build attendance and support for original music in Big Sandy.” said Kate Kirby. “We know The Music Hall can provide a really special opportunity for both artists and music fans.”
The show starts at 7 p.m. and admission is just $5 at the door, which goes to support the guest artists and the music hall. Each artist will also offer CDs and other merchandise. The snack bar features pop corn, soft drinks and candy. The venue is appropriate for all ages, so bring the family and enjoy a night out, close to home listening to live music!
The Music Hall is located at the corner of Hwy 80 and S. Tyler Street downtown Big Sandy in the old First Baptist Church Building.
