Gladewater’s Main Street proudly presents their 6th annual Gladewater Main Street Art Stroll, Saturday, August 13, from noon to 5 p.m. The Art Stroll will be bigger and better than ever to quench your thirst for art, antiques, wine, food, music, books and loads of fun all in air-conditioned comfort! It will be hot out but our trolley will be giving free rides around town.

Some of the area’s best artists will gather for this one day event for your shopping pleasure as you browse antique stores, a historical museum, book store, and more, all while enjoying the unique combination of art and antiques in the historic downtown of Gladewater.

There will be 30 artists this year with a wide variety of styles, media and subject matter. Artists include: Hillie Brax, Herb Bryant, Heather Burris, Sherry Callender, Stephanie Chance, Christine Chandler, Suzan Chapman, Peggy Coston, Michelle Darke, Betty DeRieux, Julie Dickeson, Monty Graham, Marynell Henry, Julie Hoffman, Andrew Kirby, Morgan Lewis, Shelby Martin, Laminda Miller, Ellisa Mitchell, Sylvia Morse, Carol Morton, Kathy Murphy, Joel Nichols, Sandra Pulling, Rome Smith, Sherry Smith, Toni Stanford, Autumn Stevens, Karen White, and Linda Wiggins.

Again this year we have two award-winning wineries: Los Pinos Ranch Vineyards form Pittsburg and Fairhaven Vineyards from Hawkins. Always a “Special” for the Art Stroll and a time to sample some of the best wines in the country!

The Stroll will have more music than ever before with Stefan Cotter, Andrew and Kate Kirby, Michael Morse, and Larry Siebert.

There will food vendors available!

Stephanie Chance will be signing her latest book, “Beautiful Seductions,” a spectacular photo journal of Stephanie’s trips from Italy to Decorate Ornate! And Kathy Murphy of The Pulpwood Queens fame will be signing her book, “The Pulpwood Queens’ Tiara-Wearing, Book-Sharing Guide to Life,” and bringing her beautiful art!

Hillie’s Artwork will be having tattoo demonstrations!

Marynell Henry will be conducting a silent auction of her original watercolor painting of Rock Springs School, built in 1849. Proceeds will be used to support renovation of the old school.

AND be sure to get the collectable 2017 Gladewater Calendar, packed full of history, photos, and Gladewater events you won’t want to miss. These make great stocking stuffers (at only five dollars each) and are available at many downtown businesses!
