Thursday, May 3rd, many came together to pray for peace in our nation and the world, and for the safety of our military personnel, law enforcement, firefighters, and first responders. The community of Big Sandy joined this massive event, meeting at the First United Methodist Church. Dr. Jack Hetzel, pastor of First Methodist and Jerome Ellard, pastor of New Beginnings Christian Fellowship and president of the Big Sandy Ministerial Alliance, led the service.
This year’s theme “Pray for America – UNITY,” quotes Ephesians 4:3, “Making every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of Peace.” Thank you, God, for giving us a nation where we can openly and gratefully worship you! God bless America!
