Good morning, Friends. Our love and prayers are with Monica, Bradlee, Chad, Brandy, little Hayden DeCuir, and Betty Baird. Last week, God called their sweet James home. James was a United States Air Force veteran, Police Chief in both Gilmer and Big Sandy, and also served as Chief of the Big Sandy Volunteer Fire Department. He was a great man, husband, father, fabulous grandfather, and a shining example of public service. Many will help guide Hayden in your footsteps and we know you’ll watch over all of us.
Well, last week’s Great January Blizzard of 2018 produced some interesting events but the most entertaining was that Facebook/internet sensation known as “The Singing Superintendent,” our own Jay Ratcliff! Check out the interview in this edition.
Jackie and I finally made it to Dallas Market. We couldn’t make Wednesday, but Thursday at 4a.m. we headed West and had a great day. It’s amazing how much you can accomplish with an early start and a GAME PLAN. Within the next few weeks, we will be receiving fun gardening items…Art Pots, solar lights, outdoor speakers, rain chains, and much, much more! And we’ve changed the opening date to TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 6TH at 10am.
Don’t forget the Big Sandy Chamber of Commerce Banquet is Thursday, January 25th at the Church of God on West Broadway/Hwy. 80. And remember to bring your checkbook for the silent auction and cake auction.
Guess I’ll close for now. Keep watching for our changes, and as always…be blessed and see you at Nanny’s Porch!
