Good morning, Friends! Hope everyone survived the little cold snap over the weekend. Michael’s brother and our sister-in-law, Cliff and Charlene Baggett, from Iola were in town Saturday. I got to break in the new grill with hamburgers and had hoped to picnic outside, but it was just too cold! I’m sitting on the deck writing this column (Sunday afternoon while Michael is at the Museum Association meeting) and the breeze is still pretty chilly, but the sunshine is beautiful! Belle is having a blast running, barking, and getting head-scratches through the fence from the kids next door. She loves the attention!
Love Big Sandy Project is holding the annual Spring Fair at the City Park on Saturday, April 14th, 10am-5pm. Arts and crafts, car show, giant inflatables, train rides, games, live entertainment, dancers, petting zoo, and more for great family fun. Each year, they add something new and this year it is a ‘game bus’ and fun run. Check their Facebook page – Love BS Project – for more info.
Don’t forget ADMINISTRATIVE PROFESSIONALS DAY is just a couple of weeks away – Wednesday, April 25th. All good bosses show their appreciation on a regular basis, but this designated day is a chance to really show the folks who keep your work life in order and running smoothly that you are forever grateful!
And with that thought in mind, here comes the “shameless promotion!” (pretty smooth, right?) Come by Nanny’s Porch for just the right gift…and you don’t have to spend a small fortune. We have beautiful plants and unique gifts, plus we gift-wrap and offer free delivery in Big Sandy. One really cool gift idea is our new Patio Orbs. These are lighted balls with wi-fi speakers that you can use to sync music! Come by for a demonstration!
Well, guess it’s time to finish for the week. Y’all be blessed, and as always…see you at Nanny’s Porch!
