Early this morning Hawkins Police were alerted to some downed trees and power lines from the storm. The trees were cleared off of county road 3440 by 2:15. There were no injuries reported. The Journal would like to remind everyone that when storms happen, they sometime leave lots of debris in the road which is also a cause of accidents. When driving stay off of the shoulder of the roads where most debris will gather. This will keep blowouts and tire troubles to a minimum.

Its anticipated that more rain will be coming this evening, The Journal wishes everyone safe travels. Also keep in mind if its not necessary to drive, stay home and off the roads. Sign up for news at www.thejournal.biz and have a safe summer!
