What Happens when you order Sashimi Tuna, in  Mexican Restaurant by Gorging George.

It was great seeing old friends back in the DFW area again, not too long ago.  My buddy was spending time telling me about his fun with hunting and raising his kiddos. Then he said hey lets go to grab some Mexican food. Now I generally love mexican food, but this evening I was feeling like I needed  a lighter meal, So I held off on the chips and hot sauce, and waited patiently for what I had ordered.

There are some rules I follow when I go out to eat. One is that I order from the menu if I can at first. Then if I don’t like what I see, I pick and choose. I’m of the opinion that if you are a chef, and you claim to be able to prepare a dish then it shouldn’t matter what kind of “theme” your restaurant has…Oh boy was I wrong.

I had ordered what was supposed to be the Spicy Seared Ahi Tuna…chipotle on the side for me.

As it slid across the table to my direction I took a wiff…then I snubbed what my nose was telling me and proceeded to eat. No buena…bad idea. This is actually on their menu, and it was all wrong to me. I’m afraid that it wasn’t to my liking at all.

The server took it back no problem, and I re ordered a enchilada al a carte.

Can’ t even tell you the moral of this story, I guess it would be to order only what you think the theme of a restaurant is, and don’t leave the line. Even though you might be tempted. I should have said, “Uncle Julio’s is great, but I”m up for fish!”

And to those going out to eat at Uncle Julios…..the Mexican Food is Great!
